  • Field is Capped and we will not be able to take additional Entries once reached.
There has been a fantastic response to the entries so far with a number of categories outdoing last year in terms of numbers (Go Girls!!).
The number of new names on the list is very impressive and we welcome them into the Coles Bay 100 family!!

Whatever you do don't miss out on an entry, train hard and good luck to those competing in the State Sprint Champs this weekend!

Beautiful day at Coles Bay today and made all the more exciting with a pod of dolphins playing in the bay!!

Entries are rolling in, heaps from the mainland !! Hope they can leave Coles Bay in February with picture of the Bay like it is today!!

Due to factors outside of our control the website has not been finished as we had hoped. So what we have decided to do is open the entries in a slightly different manner...

From the talk around the traps we will reach the maximum numbers for the event in 2012. So this is your chance to secure your place.

The best way for this to happen is to send an email to tri@colesbay.com.au with your details as requested below, then transfer your entry fee and you are locked in!

Unfortunately a slight delay has occurred with the new website and we are not in a position to go live just yet. Our designers and developers are working frantically to have the site up and running as soon as possible but we are probably looking at about another week!!!

We are currently working on a new website which along with giving you some great information about the event, Coles Bay and heaps of other stuff, it will allow you to register via the site.

It looks like he site will be ready to go live in a week or so and we are aiming to open entries on the 1st December 2011, but keep your eye on things in here for any updates.

Sorell Plaza continues supporting this great event

It is great to see so many of our sponsor back again for the 2012 event.

Sorell Plaza Shopping Centre have jumped back on board.... so if you’re heading up the east coast do your shopping at one of the newest Coles Supermarkets in Australia or call in on a number of specialty shops (Breadd, 9/11, Bendigo Bank, the Butcher just to name a few) or even a well know Chicken Shop!!

Run Leg Course

Using Google Earth we have been able to put together an indicative map and elevation chart of each leg of the RBS Morgans Coles Bay 100.

These maps are only indicative and we will use more precise forms of measurement when setting the course for the event.

This map is the Run Leg.
The Knight Frank Sprint distance race is one lap, the RBS Morgans Coles Bay 100 is three laps.

 We will also change turnaround points depending on the safety aspect of the exact distance measurement to ensure all atheletes are safe on the road and at the turnaround points

Things have been quiet on here...

Sorry the blog site hasn't had a lot of updating over the past month or so but we have all had a fair bit on!!!

What I can tell you is we have been busy getting things sorted for February 2012!!!

As you know our new naming rights sponsor for the Coles Bay 100 is RBS Morgans with Knight Frank continuing to show their support sponsoring the Sprint Distance race.

Not sure you will have to be quite as quick as those who managed to get an entry to the Melbourne Ironman.
When the RBS Morgans Coles Bay 100 entries open later in the year give yourself at least an hour after it goes on sale, and I think you will still be ok!!? Melbourne sold out in 11 minutes!!

We do have to cap the number in the field so don't leave it too much later or you never know you might miss out!!

Coles Bay 100 .. Perfect lead up to Melbourne IM

With the Melbourne IM scheduled for the 25th March 2012, the Coles Bay 100 is the perfect lead up event being 5 weeks earlier.


Entries open for the Melbourne IM this weekend (Sunday @ 1pm) at www.ironmanmelbourne.com there are only 1,500 places up for grabs so you would want to be quick if your keen. Entry fee for that event is $775.00. http://www.ironmanmelbourne.com/

Accommodation....

As you all know accommodation is very hard to come by in Coles Bay itself. We strongly recommend you try and secure something well before the event.

There is a good range of options on www.colesbay.com.au or try www.freycinetrentals.com or call them on 03 62570 320. If camping is your thing (or only option left) then the Freycinet National Park is your best bet, call them on 03 62567 000.

Bicheno and Swansea have a range of accommodation options if you are happy to travel that little bit further.
